There He was! In question before the High Court if He was the King of the Jews. You would have never known that Just one week before, Jesus was riding on a donkey being praised while people waved palm trees yelling Hosanna in the highest as He passed by them. Now, the same people are yelling to crucify him. He is now at the supposed mercy of Pontius Pilate who knows Jesus did nothing wrong, but he eventually caves in and orders his soldiers to crucify Jesus. After giving this order, he washes his hands and says he is innocent of Jesus blood being shed.
When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
Matthew 27:24
As Jesus was getting crucified, where were the disciples in all of this? Surely they were around while their savior was suffering torment being whipped, beaten severely, and hung on a cross dying for them. Oh that's right, they were afraid and hid from people. Peter denied Jesus three times and Judas had already hung himself for betraying Jesus. What can Christians learn from this experience in society today? Number one, do not deny Jesus and what He has done for them regardless of the cost. Number two, keep fellowshipping with the fellow body of Christ who is called to sharpen each other.
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend
Proverbs 27:17
In society today there has been a real issue that needs to be addressed within the church. One has heard it said that that "If being hurt by people in the church causes you to leave and stop going to church, then your faith was in people; not God." This statement has a lot of meaning, but one thing that one must understand is that this is a judgement statement. Not only is this a judgement that assumes one knows the level of another's faith, it is a saying that some Christians use to justify themselves to feel better with their actions for treating people badly. Let me ask a question. Who in the world wants to be treated poorly in their life? It's enough the world treats people bad, but you have people who claim to love like God does treating people like trash. I can't tell you how many times I have heard someone say the world treats them so much better than Christians have. Honestly, I have said that as well and I see it all to much from the holier than thou self righteous people who claim to know God's love. For a Christian to say "If being hurt by people in the church causes you to leave and stop going to church, then your faith was in people; not God" then I will fire back and say maybe Christians should learn how to act before people leave the church due to their hypocrisy instead of them living by the fruits of the spirit, which every Christian should be living by.
Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children
Ephesians 5:1
The issue the church has and needs to address is that Cliques promote the philosophy of judging other people and leaving their hands clean of the hurt they cause to others in the church and even to those outside the church. I have seen it so many times where people will accept you and then when you have a difference of opinion the clique shows its nasty head and tries to silence you and shut you out in every way shape and form. Nothing hurts more than other Christians treating you so bad that if you didn't know that they went to church or they said they were Christians, then you would never know they are connected to a church or even have a relationship with God. It's as though they are no different than the world.
This is very important!!! We as Christians need to be humble to each other and drop our pride! It's completely sickening when a fellow Brother or Sister in Christ treats us worse than the world does. Cliques and Pride, the two most dominating forces that fight Christianity from within using our own Christian brothers and sisters against each other. It is Satan's ultimate tool for Christians if we allow it. Consider it a trojan horse to all of Christianity. Satan's ultimate tool because he doesn't have to do anything to us if we are doing it ourselves. Rough thought but True. Cliques and Pride! Time to get rid of them before it helps the enemy destroy more relationships built within the body of Christ. Not only relationships with us as brother and sisters, but the relationship with Christ. People leave the body of Christ due to this behavior. There's no more time for cliques or pride. It stops the flow of teamwork within the body of Christ. With cliques and Pride....Gods visions changes to mans vision which doesn't allow God to work the way he wants too because we chose our ways instead of his. If I were to stay silent with this message then I'm as guilty as those who are too prideful and those with their "beautiful" cliques that work so well...btw Warning label. Those who have cliques working fine is over. God sees it!
Cliques are like Pontius Pilate and the religious leaders was to Jesus. You see, people in cliques do not want outsiders in because they are too prideful and they always want people in their clique to believe the same way the clique does so there is no disagreement to keep up their agenda. Because of this it persecutes and ultimately crucifies someone's spirit who is not in your circle of cliques. After cliques do this, they wash their hands of innocent blood thinking they are not wrong blinding them from the truth of being responsible to uphold the first two laws of God.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Mark 12:30-31
The question is will the person you treated horribly persecuting them and crucifying them have their spirit rise or stay dead because your beautiful clique? In this world your clique may be worth it and your hands may be washed of the actions you chose, but up in heaven in judgement, God doesn't look at your hands, he looks at your soul, and I pray it's not stained with blood of non-fruits
Now to the message to those who have been hurt by cliques. First to the Christians who are hurting. Jesus rose three days later, there is no reason your spirit should be dead more than that. He is calling you to rise up and take your place!!! You are not finished! Jesus said it is finished on the cross so you wouldn't be finished!!! So now it's time to gather your bones, get some flesh and take that breath of life God is going to instill into you. It is your time!!!
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee
Isaiah 60:1
Now the message to the world. I know a lot of you have seen the "Christian" cliques and it turns you off of Jesus. Look that's not Jesus. The way they treated you is not the way Jesus has called us to act. Jesus called Christians to live by the fruits of His spirit. Please don't let that stop you from knowing Jesus and being saved by his Grace and Mercy. He died for you, went to defeat death for you, defeated hell for you and the grave for you...He then rose again to prove that He is the real deal for you. God has made a covenant you can grab ahold of and you can be saved. This covenant is the death burial and resurrection of his son Jesus Christ and his salvation just for you. This is an opportunity for you to look at the truth and not the clique. The truth is this....God has chosen his people to love him first and love you second. To show the Fruits of the Spirit through them so you can see Jesus love through them. Cliques don't show that, but I humbly ask you give Jesus a chance to show you the truth. He loves you and wants to know you, but it's your choice.
Cliques need to hit the bricks because it is getting us no where but lost. We need to all be one body of Christ. Time for war.....against Satan not each other.
